With a knowledge-base of common injuries, a sports medicine podiatrist creates individualized treatment plans with multiple specialists, therapies, and modalities. Proper treatment requires expertise in taping techniques, sports shoe styles SPORTS MEDICINE and construction, bracing and orthotics, as well as surgical skills for treatment of sports related sprains, strains, ruptures, and fractures.
